Why is PPF also known as clear bra
PPF is known as clear bra as it performs a similar job to the traditional leather and vinyl car bras from the 1980s and 90s. The difference is that PPF is made from nearly invisible polyurethane – hence “clear bra”.
Clear bra historically tended to refer to front end PPF services, protecting the high impact areas of the car – the bonnet, bumper, mirrors, etc – much like the original car bras. Nowadays, the term is often used interchangeably with PPF, for full car PPF as well and front end.
